Excel Merge
Merge sheets from multiple Excel files into one workbook.
About This Tool
The Excel Merge tool combines sheets from multiple Excel files (.xlsx) into a single workbook. Every sheet from each source file is preserved and arranged in order, and you can reorder the files to control the final sheet layout. Ideal for consolidating Excel data that is split across departments, dates, or projects into one file.
How to Use
Add Excel files
Add the Excel files you want to merge. You can select multiple files at once and review each file's name, sheet count, and size.
Reorder the files
Drag the files or use the up/down move buttons to change their order. You can also remove individual files you no longer need.
Merge and download
Confirm the file count and total sheet count, then click Merge Excel. Download the result when merging is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
How are sheets from each file saved after merging?
The sheets from each Excel file are added in order inside one result workbook. The top-to-bottom order in the file list is reflected in the final sheet arrangement.
What happens when two files have sheets with the same name?
The source file name is prepended to distinguish them. For example, if both sales_jan.xlsx and sales_feb.xlsx contain Sheet1, they are saved as sales_jan_Sheet1 and sales_feb_Sheet1.
Can I change the file order?
Yes. Drag each file or use the up/down move buttons on the right to reorder them.
Do you merge multiple sheets into a single sheet?
No. This tool gathers each sheet into one workbook. It does not concatenate row data from multiple sheets into a single sheet.
Are formulas and formatting preserved?
Cell values, cell formatting and styles, hyperlinks, charts, images, comments, and tables are preserved where possible. Macros (VBA) are not supported, and some complex features may be processed differently from the original.
Which Excel formats are supported?
.xlsx files are supported (up to 20 files and 80 total sheets). Older .xls and macro-enabled .xlsm formats are not supported.
How is the result file named?
The result uses the first file's name with -merged appended. For example, merging with sales.xlsx as the first file produces sales-merged.xlsx.
Are the original Excel files changed?
No. The originals stay unchanged, and a new Excel file containing all sheets is created.
Is my Excel file sent to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your Excel files and merge results are never transmitted to a server.
