About This Tool
The QR Code Reader lets you upload an image containing a QR code and view the stored content. If the QR code holds a URL it is recognized as a web address, while plain text and numbers are shown as text. You can review the image preview and file details, then copy the decoded content or open the URL directly.
How to Use
Select a QR code image
Upload an image file (PNG, JPG, or WebP) that contains the QR code you want to read. The selected image is shown in the preview area on the left.
Check the recognition result
When the QR code is decoded successfully, the result panel on the right shows the result type — URL or text — along with the actual content.
Copy or open the result
Use the copy button to save the decoded content to the clipboard. If the result is a URL, use the Open Link button to go to the page.

What kind of content can I read?
You can read URLs, plain text, and numbers stored in a QR code. The result is shown as URL or text depending on the content.
How are URLs distinguished from text?
When the decoded content is an openable address such as http, https, mailto, or tel, it is shown as URL. Other plain phrases and numbers are shown as text.
Can I open the URL right away?
Yes. When the QR code is recognized as a URL, an Open Link button appears in the result area. This button is not shown for plain text results.
Can I copy the decoded content?
Yes. Press the copy button in the result area to copy the entire content read from the QR code to the clipboard.
Which image formats are supported?
PNG, JPG, and WebP images are supported, up to 10 MB.
Why is the QR code not recognized?
Recognition can fail if the image is blurry or too low resolution, if part of the QR code is cut off or covered, or if the contrast between the code and its background is low. Use an image where the entire QR code is clearly visible.
Can a small QR code in an image still be read?
If the QR code is extremely small relative to the surrounding image, the recognition rate drops. Crop the QR code area larger or use a higher-resolution image when possible.
Can tilted or rotated QR codes be read?
Typical tilts and rotations can often be recognized, but heavily distorted or perspective-skewed images may fail.
What if an image contains multiple QR codes?
Only the first QR code detected in the image is recognized. If there are multiple codes, crop the image so only the one you need is visible.
Can I check whether the QR code is a URL before opening it?
Yes. The full URL is shown first in the result content area, so you can review the address before using the Open Link button. For QR codes from unknown sources, check the address before opening.
Is my uploaded image sent to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your image and the recognition result are never transmitted to a server.
